Why we plan every shoot
Most disappointing video isn't badly shot. It's badly planned. Nobody decided what the film was for, so it tries to say everything and says nothing. The good shots are in the wrong aspect ratio for Instagram. The talent wasn't briefed. The light was gone by the time the drone went up.
We start every shoot with a short plan: what the film needs to do, who'll see it and where, then a shot list and a schedule built around Cairns light and weather. On the day, everything runs to that plan, so we come home with what you need.

We agree on what it's for
One conversation about the job the footage needs to do: sell a product, recruit staff, explain a service, launch a brand. Out of that comes a one-page brief, and every decision after it gets checked against the brief.

We plan the day
Script, shot list, locations, people and timing, all signed off before we pick up a camera. In Far North Queensland that includes a weather backup, because the afternoon storm doesn't care about your schedule.

We shoot
A small crew, so it doesn't feel like a circus in your workplace. We'll direct anyone on camera so they look and sound like themselves on a good day.

We edit and deliver
You get a first cut to review, then agreed rounds of changes. Final files are delivered in every size you need, with captions, ready to post.

We shoot across Cairns and Far North Queensland: on location from Port Douglas to the Tablelands, in your business, or in our own studio at 176 Newell St, Bungalow, which has lighting, backdrops and a podcast set ready to go.
Being local means we can plan outdoor and property shoots around the weather and the wet season, move a shoot when the forecast turns, and book twilight shoots for when the sky will actually do something.
We travel for shoots elsewhere in Australia, and edit everything in house in Cairns.

How much does video production cost in Cairns?

Do you do drone videography?

You get a licence to use the finished work for the purposes we agree in the quote, and that usually covers everything a business needs. If you want full ownership of the raw footage, ask and we'll include it.
Can you edit footage we've already shot?
Yes. Send it through and we'll tell you what's usable. Phone footage can work well for social with the right edit.
